I had seen trees being uplit in a few places and thought it looked amazing and magical so when one of our friends put the idea of Carols into our head the event and more ideas started flowing!
We love St. Paul’s Carnival in Bristol! We try to go each year as we love the music, the food, the atmosphere and the different stages playing all kinds of music from roots and reggae to dubs to drum and bass and jungle. Continue reading »
Glastonbury Festival 2014
My first Glastonbury Festival! I didn’t know what to expect to be honest. I heard it was awesome and there was so much to see! But wasn’t expecting it to be the scale it is! So much to see that even if the festival didn’t change in the course of 5 years you’d still not experience everything I doubt! Also nobody tells you that you go to Glastonbury Festival to get fit! We have entered the 2014 Wedding Industry Experts Awards!
This Easter Sunday, despite the weather being a bit grey, we took the opportunity to take a walk out on Shapwick Heath along the Neolithic Sweet Track, the oldest man-made routeway in Britain. The Sweet Track is an ancient causeway in the Somerset Levels in England. It was built in either 3807 or 3806 BC. If you Google 51°9’57” N 2°49’26″W these are the coordinates from the built in GPS on our Canon 6D (such a cool feature!) from the first photograph I uploaded.
Diaspora, an Irish folk band in Somerset, have been described as a long established “feel good” Irish Band, which celebrates the music and traditions of the historic Irish Diaspora and entertains with a wide and varied mix of Folk and other influences. Nearly 20 years on and still going strong, they have played across a good part of the British Isles at one time or another and toured in France and Ireland having played large and small gigs; from Twickenham at the Heineken Cup finals in 1999 to country pubs, universities Student Unions to folk clubs, arts centres and festivals from Green fest to Glastonbury!
